The Mt Beauty Progress Association, Souvenir Cookery Book front cover was designed by students from the Mt Beauty Higher Elementary School and was published by the association. The sales from the book raised funds that went towards the new town swimming pool, in the grounds opposite the Post Office.
Many of the local businesses at the time contributed to the publishing costs and many students will remember these great Mt Beauty township shops in the photo gallery opposite.
