Tribute - Mrs Richardson

Picture
This is a tribute to Mrs Jenny Richardson, pictured left. She was the longest serving teacher at Mt Beauty. After many years teaching at the Primary School, hard work and correspondence studies rewarded Mrs Richardson, when she graduated as a High School teacher.

The Richardson family, through her daughter Jenny, has supplied many of her photos and they will gradually be uploaded to the site.

She is also seen below at the back of one of her many classes. Mrs Richardson passed away last month in Coffs Harbour at the age of 91.

Picture
As an example of the many photos supplied by Mrs Richardson's family, the original below, is capturing the high school being built in about 1963. I have cropped and enlarged it in the header on our HOME page. The photograph was most likely taken from the embankment on the Bogong High Plains Rd, at the top of Maddison Street. The school opened in October 1964 but had actually become an official Victorian high school at the start of 1963.
